Green Label Board

The Green Label Ghana Foundation governance structures were developed to ensure adequate financial, operational and technical resources are readily available to achieve the set objectives.

The nine-member Board was constituted to:

  • Be the highest decision-making body of the foundation
  • Develop medium – to – long-term strategic plan to ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the Foundation
  • Reflect the diversity of skills from both private and public sector needed to ensure long-term success of the foundation
  • Organize quarterly meeting to review the operations of the secretariat and provide strategies need for success in the subsequent quarter

 

Green Label Secretariat

The Secretariat assumes the overall management of the Foundation and carry out other assignment as directed by the board.

Responsibility

  • Overall management of the Ghana Green Label Scheme
  • Provide administrative support to the Board
  • Implement strategic directives and decisions of the Board
  • Liaise with the Board to source and manage the finances of the foundation
  • Manage relationship with project partners, stakeholders and statutory bodies responsible for the implementation of the Green Label Ghana Scheme
  • Manage all assets of the Foundation and report on same to the Board

 

Technical Committee

The technical committees provide technical backstopping to the secretariat. Technical committees are constituted in the following areas: 

  • Market Development
  • Production Scheme Development

The technical committees consist of people with relevant experience in the specific segment. e.g. production, marketing, certification etc.
